A One-of-One Hespera Necklace featuring a Vintage Blue Gem Naja from our Second Sunrise Collection
—
Some pieces deserve another life.
Not because they were broken—but because they still had another story left to tell.
At the heart of this one-of-a-kind Second Sunrise necklace rests a magnificent vintage Blue Gem turquoise naja, its brilliant sky-blue stones carrying decades of history into an entirely new chapter. Rather than leaving it untouched, we built a landscape around it—pairing luminous high-grade aquamarine, rich lapis lazuli, soft blue jade, sterling silver, and glowing baroque pearls into a composition that feels like standing where the desert finally meets the sea.
Old soul.
New horizon.

Why This Piece Matters
Blue Gem turquoise has long been treasured for its intense robin’s egg blue color and relatively clean appearance, making vintage examples increasingly difficult to source. This naja already had a remarkable life before finding its way into the Second Sunrise collection.
Instead of treating it as an artifact frozen in time, we asked a different question:
What if the next chapter could be just as meaningful as the first?
The cool blues of aquamarine and jade echo open water. The lapis brings the deep blue of twilight. Baroque pearls soften the composition like moonlight reflecting across the Pacific.
Together they don’t imitate the Southwest.
They expand it.

Eric’s Note
I’ve always loved the idea that nothing truly beautiful ever reaches the end of its story.
Sometimes the greatest honor you can give an object isn’t putting it behind glass—it’s giving it another adventure.
This naja survived long enough to find its way here.
Now it gets a second sunrise.
