Okay, this is not a quiet little turquoise ring. This is basically an entire Waterweb Kingman storm system mounted on your hand.
The enormous oval cabochon moves through saturated turquoise, pale blue and cream-colored host rock, crossed by dark webbing and earthy mineral passages. Sheila Tso framed it with twisted silver wire, then built an exceptionally wide stamped band with applied fan details rising toward the stone.
At 24 grams, it has the substance to match the spectacle.
Why This Piece Matters
Waterweb Kingman is prized for the branching matrix that divides its turquoise into organic cells and pools. In this cabochon, the pattern is unusually varied: dense webbing gives way to open blue, while a dramatic cream-colored formation cuts through the upper portion of the stone.
Sheila designed the ring as a complete object rather than simply attaching a large stone to a conventional shank. The wide sterling band is deeply stamped with radiating designs, while dimensional silver fan elements bridge the shoulders and setting.
The result is architectural from every angle.

Curator’s Field Observation
The stone’s vertical oval shape gives the ring considerable finger coverage, but the broad band distributes its 24-gram weight more securely than a narrow shank could.
Sheila carried the ornamentation around the sides rather than leaving the band plain. Deeply stamped rays create a repeating sunburst pattern, punctuated by oxidized circular marks. Separate fan-shaped silver elements rise beneath the setting and visually connect the band to the twisted-wire frame.
The oxidized recesses sharpen the silverwork and provide a dark architectural border around the vivid turquoise.
Eric’s Notes from the Field
This ring looks like weather happening over an alien ocean 😂
The stone has huge pools of electric Kingman blue, dark waterweb lines, flashes of earth and that wild cream formation cutting through the top. You can stare into it and keep discovering completely different landscapes.
But the band might be my favorite part. Sheila didn’t put a gigantic stone on a boring little strip of silver and call it finished. The entire ring is built out—wide, stamped, dimensional and substantial.
It’s 24 grams of turquoise weather for your finger. Completely reasonable.
